Merge coffee table

Kline Furniture, Ajax, Ont.

Lee Kline, president and designer of his eponymous furniture company, creates upscale contemporary furniture for the residential and contract industry.

His Merge coffee table is a simple yet sophisticated multiple use feature piece, intended for placement in the centre of a living room.  The flat side faces the sofa, the round side, facing out, is easy to walk around and presents no corners for shins to bump into.  The bowled area in the centre of the top can display a decorative centrepiece without impairing the use of a flat surface.  The lower tier stows smaller items such as remote controls and magazines.

The tabletop is made of vacuum molded polyester resin and cast and machined aluminum, and comes in a variety of solid and metallic automotive colours.  The aluminum stem is available at any height up to 15 inches in a mirror or satin finish.
